Error Vector Magnitude

The page describes various investigations of  effect of residual RF errors on the performance of MIMO Antenna Selection. Various performance measures like Capacity and multiplexing gains would be found out and their compensation methods for antenna subset selection MIMO systems.

What we found so far is that like full complexity systems, MIMO systems with antenna selection suffer from residual errors. But as the number of selected antennas or SNR increase the effect of residual errors diminish.

Latest findings

  • We have found that at higher values of residual errors, using antenna selection boosts performance compared to using full complexity systems.
  • We found different upper and lower bounds for capacity and also multiplexing gains.
  • The results have been submitted to a paper in IEEE ICC 2015 conference in London and IEEE VTC Spring 2015.
