Convex optimization based MIMO Antenna Selection with RF impairments

Posted on: 19 Oct 14
We investigate performance of various receivers for systems with MIMO antenna subset selection. We are trying to find optimal antenna subset selection when RF impairments are present. We use convex optimization theory to find optimal subsets and optimize the objective function. The first objective function is the ergodic capacity and the second is union bound. Findings Simulated simple ergodic capacity Results are good Next step

Comparison of new waveforms in terms of Transport Spectral Efficiency

Posted on: 17 Sep 14
The page will provide updates on finding transport spectral efficiencies for OFDM, BFDM, FBMC, UFMC and GFDM and compare them.

Selection and comparison of new waveforms other than OFDM for 5G networks

Posted on: 16 Sep 14
The page will serve as a platform for research of finding and investigation of new waveforms other than OFDM that can be more spectrally efficient for future 5G networks We are creating simulations for both OFDM and other potential waveforms like GFDM, FBMC, UFMC, BFDM. After simulations we will compare them for different network requirements. We are working on initial transmitter implementation and

Investigation of the effect of residual RF errors on the performance of MIMO Antenna Selection

Posted on: 13 Sep 14
The page describes various investigations of  effect of residual RF errors on the performance of MIMO Antenna Selection. Various performance measures like Capacity and multiplexing gains would be found out and their compensation methods for antenna subset selection MIMO systems. What we found so far is that like full complexity systems, MIMO systems with antenna selection suffer from residual errors. But as
